Media Advisory: Sen. Keaveny to Attend
Back-To-School Fair
|
JEFFERSON CITY — This Saturday, July 26, Sen. Joe Keaveny, D-St. Louis, will host a health and back-to-school health fair, which provides services to the people of St. Louis City and county. The annual event will take place at the Betty Jean Kerr People’s Health Centers (5701 Delmar Blvd.). The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Senator Keaveny is happy to continue his work with more than 40 local groups taking part in this health fair and the Betty Jean Kerr People’s Health Center. Each year this event assists many low-income citizens who couldn’t otherwise afford quality health care services.
“Being able to work with these agencies and their employees is one of the highlights of my job as a Missouri Senator. They are the faces who help connect people with the resources who can help them,” Sen. Keaveny said. “Nothing is more valuable than your health, so I encourage my constituents to take part in Saturday’s health fair and learn about how you can maintain or work toward good health.”
A variety of local organizations and businesses are scheduled to participate in the health fair, including Optical Expressions, CLAIM, Safe Kids, The Relief Foundation, Memory Care Home Solutions and more. Vendors will offer a variety of screenings and free services for those attending Saturday’s event. There will be immunizations, car seat installation, vision screenings, bone marrow transplant information, and more.
For more information about Saturday’s health fair, please call Sen. Keaveny’s Capitol office at (573) 751-3599. |
